"Irregular list" Predictions

Hey Buddyfighters!

Most of you guys would have heard by now that Bushiroad is going to be announcing a "Irregular list" or better known as the restriction list for Buddyfight on the 7th of May 2018. The reason why they have come to such a decision is because some cards are significantly more stronger than others and that makes the state of the game to becomes stale and unhealthy.  In this post, we will be discussing our thoughts on what cards has a chance of being restricted so that the game can become more balanced.

When making such a list, Bushiroad has to not only consider the top tier decks but also whether anything else that is currently not dominating becomes dominating if they put a stop to the current top tier decks. The point of the list is to make almost every deck stand a chance in the meta and not lead to another one or two deck meta again. So today we will be showing you guys a list that affects every relevant deck in the game so that everyone will be able to stand a equal chance.

Lets begin with the most dominating decks in the format.

Chaos:

Restricted to 1 per deck

Image result for launch of the auto deity buddyfight
In order to stop a deck that can consistently set up every game, you have to restrict cards that enable the consistency. Launch the auto deity is a extremely versatile card that lets you search for all of your Geargods which enable the entire deck to work the way it works. People cant simply tech in one of every Geargod like they do now if this card is limited to one. With this card being limited to 1, the chance of a player setting up with Geargod 1000 will be significantly decreased.

Restricted to 1 per deck

Machining sacrifice has been one the cards that covers the weakness of chaos. With the chaos drain ability, penetrate was the best way a player can deal damage to the opponent. But a simple machining sacrifice will not only deny that but it will also call out a card that would give massive advantage to the player casting machining sacrifice. Some decks which can beat chaos with penetrate will loose their only chance because of this card. By limiting this card, Chaos will now be more vulnerable to penetrate based decks.

Thunder Empire:

Restricted to 1 per deck

Restricting loud voice can be a very debatable topic as it is one of those life saving cards against almost any deck. But the problem with this card is that it makes many decks unplayable. One loud voice will shut down an entire deck's winning strategy while Thunder empire can steam roll over them the next turn. Limiting it to 1 will make sure its not so easy to draw and will make people think twice before casting it if they do draw it. Without loud voice, Thunder empire is forced to run more shields.

Banned from deck

Drago-Uno is card that should have never been made. There almost no way around it unless your deck has the ability to win during the opponent's turn such as prism dragons. It not only prevents you from loosing the game, it gives you a fresh 6 cards that can swing the entire game to your favour. There are times when players simply cast this because of a bad hand and win the next turn because they drew what they needed. it is a very unfair card that only Thunder empire has and such a card is very unhealthy for the game.

World loop:

banned from deck

Image result for professor menjo

Professor Menjo is card that everyone is expecting to get either banned or errata. This single card has made countless loop decks possible. A very unhealthy card for the game as loops that requires no interaction from the opponent should never be allowed to exist. Even limiting this card to 1 will not completely stop the loops. The loop decks does not require any other form of limitation except Menjo being completely removed from the game.

Hero Swords deck:

Limited to 1 per deck

This card has to brought down to one so that swords do not become the dominating deck. Swords can be easily beaten down with raw number of attacks as their defensive capabilities are not extremely great. Without this great spell, decks that do high amounts of attacks in one turn stands a high chance against this deck. The reason for this restriction is so that Swords do not becomes the next dominating deck.

Prism dragons:

Limited to 1 per deck

Image result for asterism effectImage result for gemologist buddyfight

Astersim effect has the same reason as Drago-uno. It makes the opponent skip their entire turn and make some decks waste their entire winning strategy. One asterism effect will put the player in a huge advantage due to various effects that triggers during the opponent's turn. Also, Asterism effect is a searchable card with Sheldre and that makes it even easier to draw.

Gemeologist is a consistency card and limiting it will force players to run more copies of the desired Athoras. bringing down the consistency of a deck is the best way to balance it. With these two restrictions, Other decks will have a good chance of beating Prisms.

That is all for our predictions. we feel that limiting the above cards would balance the game and allow many other decks to surface and make the game much more fun and interactive. Players would no longer be in a position where they are unable to do anything against a top tier deck because of how over powered and consistent they are. Do leave your thoughts and comment down your predictions as well!

Zetta's new revolution

Hello Buddyfighters! We are back after a hiatus and today we are bring you an article on the Zetta/Abygale deck that has been doing surprisingly well in Japan!

Lets start by analyzing what made the deck grab the attention of players! The latest set has brought upon us a new and improved Abygale impact monster known as Abygale"Armed Howl bringer".
X2-BT01-0017
[Call Cost] [Destroy one or more 《Black Dragon》 on your field & Pay 3 gauge]
When this card enters the field during the final phase, you may put one 《Black Dragon》 impact from your drop zone on the bottom of your deck. If you do, put up to the top nine cards your opponent's deck, and up to three cards from your opponent's gauge into the drop zone, deal 3 damage to your opponent, and you gain 3 life!!

This new Abygale is what has pushed the deck from being rarely seen to being used by quite a few players. It's insane ability to Deal 3 damage and destroy 3 gauge makes the card extremely deadly when played on the first turn against decks like Chaos which requires gauge to perform their high advantage plays. This card makes your opponent start at 4 life unless they are holding a shield on their first 6 cards.

The new Zetta build focuses on getting this guy out constantly in order to burn your opponent's life points and control the flow of the game with the gauge steal. Why this works so well in Zetta is because of Zetta's unique ability to call multiple impact monsters making it possible to win on the first turn if the right cards are drawn.

Below is a sample list on how the new deck should be built.

2 x Battle Demon of Revenge, Zetta(X-BT03A-UB02)
1 x Armored Battle Demon, Zetta(D-BT04)
3 x Demonic Battle Demon Zetta(D-CBT)
4 x Abygale, "Armed Howl Bringer"(X2-BT01)
4 x Abygale, "Unlimited Death Drain"(D-BT02)
2 x Abygale, "Last Death Violence"(D-BT04)
2 x Abygale, "Vanquishing Death Hole"(D-BT01)
4 x Fake Replica Weapon, Gemclone(D-SS03)
4 x Gemclone "SD"(X-BT03A-UB02)
2 x Gemclone,"Wall Replica"(D-BT04)
1 x Gemclone, "Origin Breaker"(D-BT04)
4 x Armor Talisman: GAUGE AND DRAW(D-BT04)
4 x Armor Talisman: TWO DRAW(D-SS03)
4 x Armor Talisman: FIND JOKER(D-SS03)
4 x Hyper Energy(H-BT01)
4 x Armor Talisman: THREE GAUGE(D-SS03)
1 x Time Sale(X-BT04A-SS03)

The above list focuses on getting Black dragons in to the drop zone and calling Howl Bringer as many times as possible.

We hope you enjoyed this article. This deck is however not a top tier deck, but it has the potential to do very well in the upcoming meta.
